VLOG #3 – EAGLES VS RAMS PRE GAME ANALYSIS
- Eagles Game 1- Season Opener is FINALLY here! Eagles and St. Louis Rams will be facing off this Sunday
- Eagles look really good on paper, but by what we’ve seen in Preseason, we have some work that needs to be done to work out the kinks.
- Juan Castillo did good with the “Vanilla” offenses of the preseason, but let’s see how he does with the REAL schemes and game plans when games actually matter.
- RB Steven Jackson is a “Beast” and with our young small linebackers like (Casey Matthews) will Eagles be able to stop the run? This will be a good test to see how our defense does against an elite back.
- Every year NFL teams rise and teams fall. The Rams feel like a team that will be on the rise this year in one of the weakest divisions in football.
- I like Sam Bradford, he turned that franchise around in 1 year. From WORST in the league, behind the Detroit Lions, to almost winning their division. He’s surrounded with talent and should be an effective in Josh McDaniels’ system.
- They have “Spags,” a.k.a. Steve Spagnuolo, as their head coach, who’s proven to be effective. One thing to be concerned about is he has intimate knowledge of our schemes from when he was with the Philadelphia Eagles.
- With that said, the St. Louis Rams will be a tough opponent, but Eagles still have more talent.
- Michael Vick will have to be effective from the pocket because Spagnuolo will have an answer to Vick’s run game. I anticipate that Spag will have a scheme in place to contain Vick from making big running plays and will be blitzing a lot. Which means Michael Vick will have to make good pre-snap reads and adjust to any blitzes.
- Eagles have that young offensive line that is our biggest question mark on offense. Will they step up? Will they perform? Will they protect Michael Vick?
- I think the receivers will do good against the secondary and I think we’ll be able to move the ball through the air, as long as Eagles can handle the blitz.
- If that happens, we’ll be putting up a lot of points. Hopefully like it’s like the last time we played the Rams, which also happened to be the season opener in 2008. When the Eagles nearly shut out the Rams in the first 3 quarters and final score was 38-3.
- Based on this pre-game analysis, my prediction is that the Philadelphia Eagles defense will capitalize, get turnovers, and lead Philadelphia to a comfortable win.
Nice vid! It looks like your guys won, I’m sure they saw your video and it motivated them.
