Greetings Dehlia, this is Mark the Bills fan. I have been meaning to write to you for awhile now and I finally found time to do so. You’ve heard me say how much I enjoy your videos so I am not going to just repeat myself on that. I just wanted to tell you a little about myself from one football friend to another. I too share a similar situation as you. I was born, raised and am currently living in California, San Jose to be specific, and I am a fan of a non-local team. It’s weird that I became a Bills fan, when I am in 49′ers & Raiders territory. I’ve been cheering for the Bills since 1986, which I believe is when Jim Kelly started playing for them. I went through the heartbreak of 4 straight Super Bowl losses, but I never abandoned my team, not even through 11 straight seasons without playoffs, UGH! The first time I saw one of your videos was by accident. I was watching a fan made Bills video previewing the Bills-Eagles game. When I had finished it, I saw your video on the youtube sidebar and gave it a look. And the rest is history. That was the weekend you were at Disneyland. I’m a huge Disneyland fan myself, so I have to ask you, which hotel were you staying at? Because I saw the Sleeping Beauty Castle outline when you made your video and I had never seen a hotel room that looked like that.
Thank you very much for the shout out you gave me, I was touched and surprised since I am far from being one of your more outspoken commentators on your videos. I was also surprised and glad when you joined Two Bills Drive, believe me I have posted many subjects on there before, but your videos have by far been the most popular thing I have ever posted, LOL. I love the fact that you do both pregame and post game videos, and I love the fact that you are a fan who actually knows what they are talking about. Unlike some of the other pretenders who just ramble on and make comments like, “Oh this team will lose, because they suck!” You are a breath of fresh air when it comes to football fans.
I will actually be passing your way in December, because on Sunday December 11, the Bills will be in San Diego to face the Chargers. There will be a huge gathering of Bills fans descending on SD for the game. This will be my 4th time going to SD for the Chargers-Bills game, and let me tell you, the San Diego Buffalo Bills Club knows how to throw a party. It’ll be a grand 3 day weekend. The tailgate will be awesome, especially since they will have catered food imported from Buffalo. A lot of members from TBD will be there too. So I will be sure to wave hello to Los Angeles as I pass through on I-5.
I now realize at how long this e-mail has gotten, so I better wrap it up. I look forward to hearing from you, maybe we can correspond with each other throughout the rest of the season and during the boring offseason. Sorry I do not do twitter or facebook, I have so many things I already do on the internet and I would just get bogged down even more if I did those too. So please send me e-mails whenever you can. I’m sure you’ve got many people begging to talk to you, lol. Who knows maybe some day I will have the pleasure of meeting you and all your Eagles friends. Thanks for sharing your story, I luv that ours is kind of the same! And that Bills Disneyland episode I actually filmed in my Disneyland hotel, I was staying there that week to get over the loss to the 9ers. Also, thanks for giving me the heads up on ur trip down south. My brothers at San Diego State right now, and who know I may make a trip down south to come say “Hi” to ya’ll. I would obviously have to schedule it around the Eagles game, lol.
Hi Dehlia, That would be great if you came down to SD to say “Hi”. I know that many Bills fans would be thrilled to meet you, lol. I would be glad to introduce you to all my Bills friends, and of course I would love to get the opportunity to share some football talk with you as well. Also your Eagles take on the Dolphins that week, and I know all of us Bills fans love to see the Dolphins lose. But I do not want to get my hopes up, so if you can not make it, that’s ok. I just saw your Bears post game report. Were the pigtails part of your sad feeling? lol I’ll be watching for your Eagles-Cardinals preview, my Bills start a 3 game road trip this week and our first stop is Dallas. So I hope my Bills can rebound after that ugly loss to the Jets and help out your Eagles a little. So until then take care and keep the hope alive.
